| Killed when a roadside bomb struck his patrol, followed by small-arms
fire, in the northern suburb of al-Hartha in Basra, Iraq.--
Nøbbe was deadly wounded during a 6½ hour gunfight with insurgents. His platoon was attacked while guarding a school under reconstruction in Al-Hartha, southern Iraq. |
