CARSON CITY – Gov. Kenny Guinn released the following statement today regarding the death of Marine Cpl. Jesse Jaime, 22, of Las Vegas, who was killed Tuesday near Ramadi, Iraq:

“Marine Cpl. Jesse Jaime was a young man who from a very early age desired to put others before himself. He was a shining example to all who knew him. Our country and our state owe him a debt of gratitude for so selflessly seeking such a heroic path. Dema and I wish to extend our condolences to his family and friends.”
