I lost my best friend Melissa a little over a year ago, It was the hardest thing I ever had to deal with in life. She was the sweetest person in the world. Her passion was to help people, so that's why she decided to go to Iraq, I begged her not to but she went anyway. She left behind a daughter who will proudly tell you how great her mommy is, and she also left behind the most loving family I've ever know, a now hurt family. It really sucks when you feel helpless, I wish I knew the words to heal their broken hearts, but I guess I should try to fix mine first.

Day. I passed her grave last year. I stopped and looked and shed a
tear. I periodically go back to visit. I think of her sacrifice and
I am grateful.
